MZ Account Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an essential extra layer of security to your MZ Account. Once enabled, every login attempt will require both your password and a one-time verification code generated by an authenticator app or sent to your mobile number. This ensures that even if your password is compromised, unauthorised access is prevented.

To enable 2FA on your MZ Account, log in and navigate to the Security section of your account settings. Select Enable Two-Factor Authentication and choose your preferred method: authenticator app (recommended), SMS verification, or backup email. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
Enabling two-factor authentication is the single most effective step you can take to protect your MZ Account from unauthorised access.
We recommend using an authenticator application such as Google Authenticator or Authy for the most reliable 2FA experience. These apps generate time-based codes that are valid for 30 seconds and work even without an internet connection. Store your backup recovery codes securely in case you lose access to your authentication device.

If you need to disable 2FA on your MZ Account, you can do so from the Security settings after verifying your identity. However, we strongly advise keeping 2FA active at all times to ensure your account data and personal information remain fully protected at mzaccount.org.
